Hey guys,

Every one knows what nobel prize is,If u don't  or if u forgot that,this is recap.There is dude named Alfred nobel made lot of money by  inventing dynamite and other armaments . In his last will he used all his fortune to institute "Nobel prizes" in order to cheer and recognize nerds working in areas of Peace,Literature, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, and Physics .That way he has done nice job, it seems right for me too as you know all the rich weirdo's in the world never give a damn about these guys.

You may wonder why he didn't give damn about equally great field of mathematics. Surely eminent man like alfred haven't forgotten about math. With no obvious reason people invented one,as usual invented tale had a bit of salaciousness to it..He deliberately avoided establishing a prize for math because a prominent Swedish mathematician, Mittag-Leffler was carrying on an affair with his wife.

The wife 'theory' is obviously a hoax,since Alfred was never married. Another theory was that Alfred's animosity towards Mittag-leffer for some reason,If he established the math prize Mittag would almost certainly have been one of the first recipients. That may not be  true as well because there were other highly regarded candidates such as Henry poincare and David hilbert. 

The point of Alfred's legacy was to encourage and benefit those who have done mankind the greatest good. His altruistic effort would have have been tainted forever if he hold personal grudge for not to establish for and important scientific category.

One of the strong reasons may be He was interested in developmental work and specified that his prizes should be awarded for "important discoveries and inventions". Mathematics was a field he considered too theoretical to produce direct practical benefits for mankind whose discovers he sought to reward.

Any way,If great guys like Nobel's motivations aren't clear they often attribute to some entertaining tales.

Also.. as I'm working in Physics there is a finite probability ( may be order of 10 power -16) that i will get Nobel prize.
